The African Youth IT Skills Scholarship Initiative (AYITSSI) is more than a training program, it is a movement to reshape Africa’s digital and economic landscape. By equipping one million youth with globally in-demand IT skills by 2030, AYITSSI is creating ripples of transformation that extend far beyond individual participants.

Since its launch, the African Youth IT Skills Scholarship Initiative (AYITSSI) has already begun transforming lives across Africa. We have successfully trained over 1,000 young people in high-demand IT skills, equipping them with laptops, solar power banks, and the mentorship needed to thrive in today’s digital economy.

Our graduates are already making an impact securing internships, freelancing opportunities, and tech jobs that empower them to support their families and contribute to their communities. Many are also developing innovative digital solutions to tackle real challenges in sectors like health, education, and agriculture.

 

But this is only the beginning. By 2030, our goal is to reach 1 million youth across Africa, building a skilled, tech-savvy workforce that drives economic growth, innovation, and digital transformation on a continental scale.
